Teresian College was established by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) in 1963 with the objective of empowering students indiscriminate of caste, religion and merit through value-based education. The College is reaccredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade with a CGPA on 3.19 in III Cycle. The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce offers Master’s Programme in Commerce (M.Com.) affiliated to the world renowned University of Mysore. Started in 2011, the Department is well equipped with qualified teaching staff, latest edition books and digital library. State-of-the-art computer lab with internet facility is available.

The Programme generally focuses on various disciplines like, financial accounting, financial management, business taxation, management accounting, cost accounting, human resource management, business research, business statistics, and many more. On successful completion of the Programme, a student would be able to continue the education by pursuing M.Phil. or Ph.D. Degree Programmes.
The Programme aims at providing the contemporary knowledge and skills that are essential for a student aspiring to become either an academician or a practising manager or an entrepreneur. Plethora of opportunities are found in the fields of education, accounting, auditing, taxation, stock broking, banking, corporate finance, marketing, international business, etc., in both government and private sectors.
COURSE OUTCOME
Master of Commerce (M.Com.) is a 2-Year (4 Semesters), full-time, regular, 76 credits, Post-Graduate Degree course, affiliated to the world renowned University of Mysore, Mysuru. The Course is taught under Choice Based Credit System.
