National Science Day is celebrated every year on February 28. This day recalls the notable invention “Raman Effect” by India’s greatest scientist C V Raman. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for this discovery. Since that day, February 28 is being commemorated as National Science Day to recall the great discovery of CV Raman.
The theme for National Science Day 2021 is “Future of STI: Impacts on Education, Skills, and Work”. The National Science Day 2021 aims to motivate the students to gain hands-on experience in the field of science.
National Science Day 2021 was celebrated by all the science departments at our college on 01-03-2021. Dr. G. N. Indresha, Scientist E & Head (Rtd), Regional Museum of Natural History, Mysuru delivered a talk on importance of science and technology, significance of scientific applications in the daily life of the people. He also emphasized on efforts and achievements in the field of science for welfare of human being. Students performed dance and mime based on science theme. The programme was well organised by the nature and science association and student council.
